Twiddling Thumbs

That’s what I’ll be doing.  I finished up work today and it was bittersweet.  I’m leaving knowing that Leonard is going to bear the brunt of what is to come.  I got everything up to date and gave him a list of things that had to be left until Monday.   I can only hope that things go as smooth as possible for the three people in there.  And that’s all I can do.  I know I’ll actually miss work.  I am fortunate to enjoy going to work each day and they’ve supported me a great deal.  We’re a good team up there.

Today was our final sono appointment.  We could have scheduled one for next Wednesday, but the dr. said it wasn’t necessary unless we wanted to.  Even though we’ve had sonos each week, Isabelle has been in a head down facing the back position.  So, all we see is the back of her head.  So, we told them the next time we’d be swinging by we would be bringing her in.  They wanted to see her since she’ll be much cuter to look at.

I ran up to the other dr.’s office to get an answer to my messages.  I managed to get everything  taken care of and then headed home.  Ate lunch.  Ran through my mental to do list and……took a nap.  Hmmm, I could get used to this!

It still hasn’t really hit me that this time next week we’ll be really getting ready for a trip to the hospital. Unless she decides to come earlier.  I wouldn’t mind that either.  I will be 38 weeks tomorrow and I actually feel pretty good.  Sure, a little achy and can’t walk without a waddle.  Or get up from bed easily.  Or stand up from a chair without pain.  But, I don’t feel as bad as I did with Adam.  I swelled so much with Adam.  I was miserable.  I couldn’t fit my feet into wide shoes!  No problem with that this time though.

We’ve got to get the decorations down soon.  I love having the decorations up, but then after a while I just want my space back.  Especially with the baby coming and all her gear on the way.  Only one week to go!!!!!!!!!!  I hope little Isabelle is ready to take on the world!
